TruthsSeek is an independent publication about online identity discovery and username search. Its associated app, TraceScan, checks usernames across 3,000+ supported platforms. Our public platform directory highlights 120+ featured platforms, while our methodology explains how checks work, what results mean, and where limitations apply. The guides are useful without the app; the app is how you execute everything we describe.

What TraceScan does

• Checks a handle against 3,000+ platforms — social, dating, developer, gaming, media, professional and community sites — in 20–30 seconds, using live checks rather than cached databases.
• Reports active vs inactive status per platform, grouped by category, with direct profile links.
• Supports handle variants (separators, truncations, common suffixes) in one sweep.
• Free first scan: no account, no payment details required.

Pricing and terms

The first scan is free. Beyond that, TraceScan offers in-app subscriptions for deeper scans and monitoring — current prices, renewal terms and cancellation are shown on the official store listings, which are the authoritative source:

Accuracy and limits

A scan reports whether a public profile matching the handle exists and is active at scan time. It cannot see private content, and a matching handle is a lead — not proof of identity. Cross-check a second signal before concluding anything. Our methodology page explains how scanning works, where false matches come from, and what a result can and cannot prove.

Privacy

Searches stay private to the account; OAuth login (Google/Discord) means no passwords stored, and data deletion is available on request. The store listings carry the current privacy details.
