Disqus profile URL & handle rules
disqus.com/by/{handle} — a public profile aggregating comments across every site using Disqus.
Unique handles; one Disqus account comments across dozens of unrelated news sites, making it a comment-history aggregator.
Does Disqus have native search?
Yes: Disqus search finds profiles by handle; comments are public.
Manual check: step by step
- Open disqus.com/by/{handle} — recent comments across all sites appear at once.
- Sort by oldest: the founding comments often predate and contradict the current persona.
- Note which sites they comment on — interest graph, time zones, obsessions.
What a parallel scan adds for Disqus
Disqus is the single highest-yield forgotten platform in infidelity and catfish checks: nobody remembers it, yet one handle can surface ten years of unguarded comments across the entire web.
Disqus FAQ
What is Disqus in one sentence?
A shared comment-login system used by thousands of news sites — one account, comment history everywhere.
Do people really forget Disqus accounts?
Constantly — it's infrastructure, not a destination, so accounts persist with years of comments that no cleanup routine thinks to delete.
